Deckhand Detailing's One-Step Polish
Deckhand Detailing's One-Step Polish (previously known as Fireglaze Polish) provides long-lasting protection from oxidation and stains on both painted and gel-coated surfaces. Perfect for boats, cars, and RVs, it's easy to apply either by hand or with a polisher. Our One-Step Polish offers the long-lasting protection of a ceramic coating with a much easier application and a much more affordable price!
- CLEAN, POLISH AND PROTECT: Our One-Step Polish is a mix of light finishing compound and an advanced polymer-based polish that removes light oxidation and stains while providing long-lasting shine and protection to your boat, car or RV. Use in place of cleaner wax to remove light oxidation and leave a protective, glossy finish.
- WAX-FREE FORMULA: Longer lasting than wax, our One-Step Polish is dust-free and doesn’t discolor black trim. Tt doesn't leave a dusty mess behind and is safer to use since you're not breathing harmful wax dust anymore.
- EASY APPLICATION: Formulated to be used with a buffer or by hand. Wipe onto surface and rub in until polish disappears and leaves a nice gloss. You don't need to let it dry to a haze like you would with car wax or boat wax.
- COMPARE TO CERAMIC COATINGS: Our One-Step Polish offers the same hardness, gloss and hydrophobic protection of a ceramic coating by bonding and sealing the surface it’s applied to. Unlike traditional ceramic coatings, our One-Step Polish can be applied outdoors and by hand.
- LESS MAINTENANCE REQUIRED: Just like car wax, car polish or a ceramic coating, our One-Step Polish helps protect against oxidation, paint fading, rust and corrosion, bird dropping stains, water spots, road grime, salt spray, exhaust stains and more.
- MULTIPLE USES: Works great as a metal polish, while also protecting against the harmful effects of salt spray. Use our One-Step Polish to clean glass, plastics and vinyl windows.
A few tips to keep in mind when working with polish:
Our One-Step Polish has a mild compound in it so it's great for boats with no oxidation or only light oxidation. If your boat has medium to heavy oxidation (no shine left or it looks splotchy or has a more matte finish in areas), you'll need to remove that heavier oxidation first. We recommend Meguiar's One-Step Compound or 3M Perfect It #1. You can then follow up with our One-Step Polish or our Pure Polish.
Wash your boat or car before applying polish. It must be applied to a clean surface so it can more easily seal and bond with the finish.
Apply our One-Step Polish with a wool finishing pad or foam polishing pad if you're using a polisher or with a foam applicator pad if you're applying it by hand.
A little bit goes a long way. Once your pad has more product on it, the less you'll need to add to the pad each time.
Our One-Step Polish is NOT a wax and has no wax in it. It uses a combination of synthetic polymers that last much longer than wax and don't leave any dust behind. Do not let the polish dry to a haze like you would with wax. Buff or wipe it on the surface and keep buffing or wiping until it disappears. You will have very little dust, if any, to wipe up after.
Our One-Step polish will not discolor black trim, so use it to protect black trim on cars or boats.
Use our One-Step Polish to clean, polish, and protect stainless and metal trim and rails. It works great as a metal polish!
