JOB OPPORTUNITIES
We are a well-established boat detailing company that offers boat cleaning and detailing services in the greater Seattle area. We are busy with work year-round, rain and shine. We work on boats ranging in size from around 25 feet up to 150 feet. We have a great crew and a friendly and supportive management team.
The two main jobs we have available are:
General Information:
Pay
The pay rate is $20/hour while you're in training. Once you're trained up, a Boat Washer earns $22 to $25 per hour. Boat Detailers who do buffing and waxing will earn a percentage of the job, which is the equivalent to earning around $60 per hour once you become proficient. You can also earn tips and bonuses.
How To Apply
If you feel that you are qualified for one of our positions, please fill out our online application. We will contact you within a few days if we feel that you would be a good candidate. We perform reference checks and a background check before hiring.
The two main jobs we have available are:
- A Boat Washer who washes the exterior of the boat using a hose, brushes, a bucket of soap and water and other types of cleaning and detailing products. This includes washing the boat from top to bottom down to the waterline. We don't wash past the waterline.
- A Boat Detailer who uses a variable-speed buffer to remove oxidation from the gel coat to make the boat glossy again, and then uses wax or polish to protect the new layer of gel coat. Here's a short video of what buffing a boat is like.
General Information:
- We prefer that you have previous experience cleaning, washing or detailing boats or cars. However, experience is not required as we provide training for all new employees. Being a naturally detail-oriented person will definitely help you in a job like this.
- All detailing gear and supplies will be provided for you.
- We prefer someone who can work full time, Monday - Friday, but we'll accept a candidate who can work part time Monday - Friday as long as they can work at least 25+ hours per week. (We do not offer weekend and evening work.)
- We are looking for someone who is hard working, trustworthy and reliable and who can act maturely and professionally while working on boats, as our customers are sometimes on the boat.
- You will often work on your own, so good time management skills are important.
- You should live near Seattle so your commute time isn't too long. If you live in Auburn, Federal Way, near Tacoma or north of Everett, the commute to and from Seattle can take up too much of your work day.
- You must have reliable transportation (a car or truck) that can carry your gear and supplies to and from the boat. (A bike or motorcycle/scooter won't work.)
- You must have a cell phone so you can easily communicate with us while on the job and use our app to clock in and out with.
- You must be in good physical condition to be able to do the job.
