Deckhand Detailing's Pure Polish
Deckhand Detailing's Pure Polish (previously known as Restructure Marine polish) provides long-lasting protection from oxidation and stains on both painted and gel-coated surfaces. Perfect for boats, cars and RVs, it's easy to apply either by hand or with a polisher. Our One-Step Polish offers the long-lasting protection of a ceramic coating with a much easier application and a much more affordable price!
Use our Pure Polish on a new car or boat with no oxidation or as the second step in a two-step process.
- LEAVES A PROTECTIVE, GLOSSY FINISH: Use our Pure Polish on a new boat or vehicle or as the final step after removing oxidation and paint flaws to seal and protect. Use in place of car wax or boat wax to leave a longer-lasting, glossy finish.
- WAX-FREE FORMULA: Our Pure Polish is polymer-based with no wax in it, so it is safer to work with than boat wax or car wax and leaves a dust-free finish that doesn’t discolor black trim.
- EASY APPLICATION: Our Pure Polish was formulated to be used with a buffer or by hand. Simply wipe onto the surface in small sections and rub in until polish disappears and leaves a nice gloss. Much easier to use than a ceramic coating, with all the same benefits!
- LESS MAINTENANCE REQUIRED: Helps protect against oxidation, paint fading, rust and corrosion, bird dropping stains, water spots, road grime, salt spray, exhaust stains and more. Stains sit on top of the polish, which helps keep your boat and car cleaner for longer.
A few tips to keep in mind when working with any polish:
Only apply polishes to a fresh layer of paint or gel coat that has been compounded to remove any oxidation, fading or paint flaws. We recommend Meguiar's One-Step Compound or 3M Perfect It #1.
Compounds work best with a variable-speed polisher, such as the DeWalt 849X. Our Pure Polish doesn't have any compound in it so it will not remove oxidation. It is meant to seal and protect a fresh layer of paint or gel coat once it has been properly compounded.
Use our Pure Polish in a two-step process where you first use a compound to remove oxidation and then follow up with a polish to seal and protect the surface.
Wash your boat or car thoroughly after you've compounded it and before you apply polish.
Apply our Pure Polish with a wool finishing pad or foam polishing pad if you're using a polisher or with a foam applicator pad if you're applying it by hand.
A little bit goes a long way. Once your pad has more product on it, the less you'll need to add to the pad each time.
Our Pure Polish is NOT a wax and has no wax in it. It uses a combination of synthetic polymers that last much longer than wax and don't leave any dust behind. Do not let polish dry to a haze like you would with wax. Buff or wipe it on the surface and keep buffing or wiping until it disappears. You will have very little dust, if any, to wipe up after.
Our Pure polish will not discolor black trim, so use it to protect black trim on cars or boats.
